The centre is pleased to present two papers on establishing a resilient transportation infrastructure and leveraging Canada’s existing seaports. The first presents an overarching view of the transportation network from coast to coast. Building on Canada’s existing port infrastructure, it identifies how trade corridors could be established that would allow for both national and regional resilience.
The second calls for a shift in how ports within the same region view competition. Using current projects proposed in the Province of Manitoba, this paper looks at how regional-level cooperation between ports that would normally focus on competition could improve their marketability and leverage that cooperation to reduce operating costs.
Both works are under “Works Produced by the Centre” on the Resources page.
